Opening Friday 24 October

Structure, uncertainty and nostalgia are constants in Jenny’s work. In Tonality of Home she plays with the familiarity and patina of domestic objects and spaces. Colour, tone and found objects reference childhood places of safety and security.

Material exploration underpins Jenny’s practice. Fossicked offcuts and found objects combine with refined surfaces and ceramic details to form considered assemblages. Underlying structure of line and geometry are overlaid with rich colours and timber veneer in delicately layered paintings. Installation elements reveal personal and collective histories, reflecting Jenny’s experiences and those who inhabited these spaces during these times.
