Film Camera Workshop with Bijou Lily and Kojiro Oishi
1.30 – 3.30pm Saturday 8 August
Discover the fundamentals of analogue photography in this introductory hands-on workshop. Learn how to confidently use a film camera, from loading and advancing film to understanding the relationship between shutter speed, aperture, and exposure. The workshop will also introduce a range of film camera formats, including 16mm, 35mm, and 120 medium format, exploring the unique characteristics and creative possibilities of each.
Following the workshop, there will be an informal Q&A session discussing the photographs and creative process behind The Still Point exhibition. Participants are invited to ask questions about analogue photography, darkroom printing, the artists’ working methods, and the ideas that shaped the exhibition.
Participants are welcome to bring their own film camera.
